One from the archives - Fallen House Ruin

One from the archives, this image was captured in one of the many canyons on the Cedar Mesa near Blanding, Utah. The unofficial name for this ruin is 'Fallen House Ruin'. Originally I had captured this image on medium format color slide film but I think I prefer the 'black and white' option.

The other side of the lens.

Yesterday I choose to be on the other side of the lens so a friend and fellow photographer Rene Pirolt could expand on his adventure/sports portfolio. We had decided Berthoud Pass would be our location for this shoot which worked out really good due to the very deep recent powder snow that had fallen in the recent days. Too see a few more images from our morning on this cold and blustery day visit Rene's blog.

A cool photographer to checkout #2

Another very cool sports/adventure photographer  to check out is Jordan Manley, here's a quote from his webiste about him.

"Vancouver-based, Whistler Blackcomb-inspired, all-around photographic phenom Jordan Manley has recently taken the ski and mountain bike world by storm with his technically-perfect images of moody, deep powder days and foggy North Shore trail riding." - Origin Design Co.

Down on the Jane

Something I have been wanting to do since last season was to take some shots of my friend Melissa. So on my first meeting of the season with Melissa I decided to take my camera along with me, we might have only done two runs making photographs but I think I still came away with some nice images.

The Dark Side of the Lens

If you are in the mood for a great short film have a look at this one 'The Dark Side of the Lens'.
