19 hours in the Holy Cross Wilderness area.

Yesterday afternoon I took short 3,000ft+ gain hike into the Holy Cross Wilderness area near Vail with the attention of spending the night on Notch Mountain, 13,237ft. The reason for this hike was so I could be in the prime location for next morning to get a sunrise shot of 'Mount of the Holy Cross' fourteeener. Here's a few images from short trip.

Sunrise this morning from a high ridge in the Maroon Bell-Snowmass Wilderness, the main peak here is Pyramid Peak 14,018ft peaking around the corner to the right are the 'Maroon Bells'.
