Fiery Morning at Mount Evans 14,270ft

Once in a while the early bird wins and gets the worm. Or I should say the crazy morning hiker lucks out once in a while. I have attempting this shot a few times this year and have always been locked out due to the weather. After an early wakeup call and 2,000ft vertical gain, I was rewarded with my effort. This was taken this morning with my new digital toy, a Canon XSI body with a 70-200mm lens, it is a 4 panorama shot stitch, this is just a quick edit. At some point I will refine the image.

Currently in the Carolinas visiting family, whilst upstate in South Carolina I had chance to take a few photographs before returning to the coast.
